Behind the scenes at Barefoot Bay:

Free tours, kids’ activities and a chance to meet the mascot “Leroy the Lobster” are offered by the Mundelein Park & Recreation District at Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center on Friday, May 25. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at the aquatic center, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, between Route 176 and Winchester Road, Mundelein. Tours of the nautical-themed water park will include answers to fun facts such as how much water is in the diving tank. Activities include face painting, chalk drawing, contests and more.
