Blackhawks sign forward Flick to three-year deal

Forward Rob Flick, a 21-year-old from Ontario, has agreed to a three-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Flick recorded 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists), along with a +2 plus/minus rating and 91 penalty minutes in 45 regular-season games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League this past season. He also collected 4 goals, 6 assists and 43 penalty minutes in 17 contests with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.

Originally selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft,

Flick spent three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Mississauga-St. Michael’s Majors from 2008-11. The London, Ontario, native registered 99 points (46G, 53A), a +29 rating and 393 penalty minutes in 181 career regular-season games, and paced the team in penalty minutes in each of his last two campaigns.
