Local artists needed for Art in the Park event

Families and community groups are invited to participate in the Addison Park District's annual Paint the Can/Art in the Park event on Wednesday, May 23.

The event will start at 6:00 p.m. in Community Park, 120 E. Oak Street in Addison. This is a free community event which is open to all ages and artistic abilities of all levels. Participants will transform basic 55-gallon steel drum cans into exciting works of art during the event. All supplies are included and light refreshments will be served.

The Addison Park District is committed to providing the highest quality recreational opportunities and open space for everyone. The 2012 Summer brochure was delivered to the homes of Addison residents on April 20.

If you do not receive your copy, please call the Park District administrative office at (630) 833-0100 and provide your home address for delivery. Additionally, the brochure is available in each facility and online at www.addisonparks.org with a full curriculum of leisure activities for all ages and lifestyles.
