It's not too late to form a Relay for Life team!
Cancer never sleeps. That's why Relay for Life teams walk all night in symbolic solidarity for loved and friends who've battled cancer. It's not too late to form a team and show your support at this year's Relay for Life of Mt. Prospect/Prospect Heights.
The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. Friday, May 18 to 6 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Prospect High School. 801 W. Kensington Road, Mt. Prospect.
More than 50 teams all already signed up helping try to reach the goal to raise $80,000. Each team will have individuals walking laps around the Prospect track in celebration of those who have survived cancer and in memory of those who have lost their battle. Throughout the night, there will be entertainment, concessions, a raffle and several moving ceremonies.
If you can't walk, plan to attend Relay for Life and support our walkers. There will be activities for all ages, entertainment, food and plenty of ways to show your support.
To register, visit www.relayforlife.org and enter 60056 to access the Mt. Prospect event page. There you can register a team, join an existing team or make a donation. Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society.
