Daily Herald report

Elgin 1, Batavia 0: Hannah Perryman (13-6) fired a 1-hitter with 14 strikeouts and 6 walks as Elgin (16-9, 9-5) stayed alive in the Upstate Eight River. The Maroons trail St. Charles North by 2 games in the loss column. Elgin hosts the North Stars on Tuesday. Anna Eckholm was 4-for-4 with a double in Friday’s win.

Bartlett 14, East Aurora 0: Bartlett inched closer to the Upstate Eight Valley title with this easy win. Winning pitcher Alicia Salata (2-0) had 13 strikeouts, and she doubled and homered for the Hawks (22-3, 12-0). Bartlett holds a 3-game lead in the Valley with 6 to play.

St. Charles East 5, Streamwood 1: Kaitlyn Hedger suffered the loss for Sabres (7-16, 2-12) in the Upstate Eight River. Jackie Jastrezebski drove in the only run for the Sabres.

College softball

Judson eliminated: Judson fell 2-1 to St. Francis and was eliminated from the CCAC tournament. Sarah Boyer suffered the loss for the Eagles (27-25). Shehad 6 strikeouts. Bri DiGiola and Allison Catlett were each 2-for-3 at the plate and DiGiola drove in Judson’s only run. Judson will leave Tuesday for the NCCAA National Tournament in Virginia.
