Native plant sale in Schaumburg Sunday

The Schaumburg Community Garden Club will hold its annual Native Plant Sale and Backyard for Native Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

The sale will include a large variety of native shrubs, wildflowers and grasses suitable for home landscape, which can be previewed at schaumburggardenclub.com. Garden experts will provide information on how and where to use various native plants, home composting, rain gardens and more.

Kids’ gardening activities, birdhouse building and free wildflower seedlings will be available. Admission is free.
