Full Day Preschool Child Care Program Expands in Hoffman Estates

The Hoffman Estates Park District will increase the capacity of its Early Learning Center (ELC) full day preschool/child care center from one classroom to two classrooms at the Triphahn Center, 1685 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates. With the expansion to two classrooms expected to occur early June, the ELC will accommodate 39 children, up from 20. The ELC is a state licensed and nationally accredited preschool program that provides developmentally appropriate instruction and a positive atmosphere for learning.

The expansion was made when the wait list for the program reached a level to justify a second classroom. The program runs year-round and is designed for children 3-5 years old who are fully toilet trained.

The ELC is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year round. Parents can enroll at any time, and tours are available by appointment by contacting Alisa Kapusinski at akapusinski@heparks.org or 847-781-3631.
