Craft Faire in Island Lake:

The village of Island Lake parks and recreation department will host the 2nd annual Converse Park Craft Faire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at the park, 551 E. State St. (Route 176). The park is between Westridge shopping center and Greenleaf Avenue. A variety of unique quality gourmet foods, jewelry, baby items and blankets are among the items for sale. The band “Radio Bandits” will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food and beverages will be available. Proceeds go to the parks and recreation department for programming.
