Pats’ Feder no-hits Prospect

Stevenson junior Sam Feder was at her best Saturday, pitching a no-hitter against Prospect, as the Patriots won 4-0 in the opener of a nonconference doubleheader.
Feder struck out six, hit a batter and did not issue a walk. She faced one hitter over the minimum.
Stevenson was led offensively by Lauren Boyle, who was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, and Lexi Yonkovic, who went 2-for-4 with a double.
Prospect won the second game 12-0 behind Michelle Korf’s 1-hitter.
The split left Stevenson with a 7-16 record.
Warren splits: Warren got off to a rough start on Saturday, but finished strong.
The Blue Devils opened the day with a 3-2 nonconference loss to Streamwood to drop to 19-4-1 on the season. Lisiann Rodriguez drove in both of Warren’s runs.
Later on, the Blue Devils redeemed themselves by getting a monster 11-0 victory over Buffalo Grove at the Buffalo Grove Slugfest.
Jill Fox led the way with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate. She also drove in 2 runs. Megan Sowa, Kelly Majewski and Jessica Demski all added 2 hits apiece with Sowa and Majewski getting doubles
Demski was also the winning pitcher. She had 3 strikeouts in four innings.
The Blue Devils are now 20-4-1.
Girls soccer
Nazareth 2, Carmel 1: The Corsairs dropped out of a first-place tie in the East Suburban Catholic Conference as Katie Driscoll scored twice for league-leader Nazareth (14-0-2, 5-0-2). Carmel fell to 10-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in league play.
