Suspicious package in Streamwood snarls traffic
Police investigating a suspicious package brought traffic around the intersection of Schaumburg and Barrington roads in Streamwood to a near standstill for about 30 minutes around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. A bomb squad determined the package was not a threat at about 4:45 p.m. and traffic has begun moving again, Streamwood police said. The package was on top of a garbage can in front of the UPS store at 684 S. Barrington Road.
