Run with DetermiNation in fight against cancer

The Chicago Marathon sold out in a record six days this year, clearly endurance running is more popular than ever. The American Cancer Society offers the opportunity to save lives from cancer while participating in upcoming endurance events by joining the American Cancer Society DetermiNation team.

Not quite ready for a full marathon? DetermiNation participants can meet the personal challenge of endurance events such as an 8k, 10 mile, half-marathon or marathon with access to free professional training, an unparalleled community of support and inspiration every step of the way. The Chicago Rock ‘n' Roll Half Marathon on July 22 may be your first foray into distance running.

To learn more, attend an information session on Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 pm at Running Right, 30 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake. Please RSVP at acsdetermination.org/illinoisinfosession.

American Cancer Society DetermiNation athletes help raise much-needed dollars to fund free services for those fighting cancer, discovery of new treatments and ultimately, cures.

In addition to the fulfillment of raising funds for the fight against cancer, DetermiNation participants also enjoy exclusive training and day-of-race benefits. These benefits include free team training to help achieve race goals, mentors for fundraising success and inspiration, invitations to social events, race-weekend VIP amenities (including gear check, private bathrooms, coaches along every mile of the race and much more), an exclusive DetermiNation racing singlet and a personal website to aid with fundraising.
