Girl Scouts Celebrate 100 Years/Honor Local Volunteers at Annual Meeting
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois (GSNI) honored local volunteers and elected new members to the council's Board of Directors at the organization's recent annual meeting.
Cheyenne Service Unit (Bartlett, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Streamwood and Wayne) received The President's Award, which is given to a geographic area team or program delivery team that has significantly contributed to meeting one or more council goals in membership growth and retention, fund development or increased community visibility.
Cheyenne contributes to meeting many of GSNI's mission delivery goals. At the end of the year, this service unit met 112% of their girl membership goal and 105% of their adult membership goal! This Service Unit practiced inclusive behavior each day and met all requirements and expectations of their plan of work.
