COD Horticulture Students Compete in National Competition

Four College of DuPage Horticulture students recently competed at the Professional Landscape Network Career Days on March 27. The COD team was 769 students to compete in the national competition which included 62 two- and four-year schools.

Lenin Campos of Hanover Park received 3rd place in Small Engine Repair; Josette Cook of Glendale Heights and Edward Adamczyk of Northlake received 7th place in Wood Construction.

Additionally, Anthony Jones of Villa Park and Campos received 13th place in Truck and Trailer; and Cook received 19th place in Exterior Landscape Design.

Two COD students also recently competed in the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association Landscape Design contest held March 9. Students Tina Koral of Glen Ellyn and Rita Koridek of St. Charles won first-and second-place, respectively, in the college hand-
