St. Francis wins in bottom of ninth

St. Francis scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Marmion 13-12 Tuesday in Suburban Christian Conference baseball in Wheaton. Both teams scored a run in the eighth inning, and Marmion went ahead again by a run in the top of the ninth. The game-winning run scored on Andrew Brundage’s suicide squeeze bunt, scoring Mike Kiwatkowski with one out for St. Francis (12-10, 6-5).

Montini 9, Wheaton Academy 5:

Montini (10-12, 7-6 Suburban Christian Conference) got home runs from Chris Lentine and Chris Bartosz to defeat Wheaton Academy. Lentine went 3-for-4 with 5 RBI in Lombard.
