A great Romney running mate: Rice
A prevailing thought in our world of today’s politics seems to be: “It really makes very little difference just whom a presidential candidate selects to be the vice-presidential running mate.” This certainly is not the case when it comes time for Republican candidate Mitt Romney to make his selection of a running mate. One person clearly stands head and shoulders above any other possible choice.
That person is Condoleezza Rice. She is most highly regarded for her eight years of valuable assistance to our former president. First of all, there cannot be any question about her ability to take over and efficiently run our nation’s highest executive office if called upon to do so for any reason. Her past years of invaluable service as a key member of the executive branch stand as positive proof of this fact.
In addition, having performed splendidly for four years as secretary of state, her in depth knowledge of our country’s relations with foreign nations should be obvious to every voter. This then serves as a most helpful resource to Mr. Romney as our next chief executive. Additionally, as a highly regarded black woman, she is decidedly attractive to an enormous number of voters. Condoleezza Rice will certainly be a positive addition to Mr. Romney’s campaign as his running mate. As a lifelong Republican with four terms of service in Springfield as a member of our Illinois House of Representatives, and House Majority Leader in my last term, I strongly urge Mr. Romney to select this outstanding individual as his running mate. This will positively help to assure victory at the polls in November.
