Luedtke’s record output lifts Barrington

Kate Luedtke broke the single-game scoring record for Barrington’s girls water polo program by scoring 9 goals Monday in an 18-10 nonconference victory over visiting Vernon Hills.

Sam Gavars scored 5 goals and Grace Buenrostro had 2 for the Fillies (15-5), and Brooke Fanslow (8 saves) and Erin Moston (3) shared time in goal.

Dana Andrea led the way in scoring for Vernon Hills (11-9) with 5 goals and goalie Sabrina Counsilbaum had 8 saves.
