Young Chicago Authors Youth Poets, Maine West High School Louder Than A Bomb Library team Perform at DPPL!

Don't miss outstanding performances by the area's finest young poets at a special Poetry Play event on Sunday April 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Des Plaines Public Library.

Young Chicago Authors Youth Poets and the Maine West High School Louder Than A Bomb team will be performing on the third floor of the library. This event culminates a month of ‘poetic' activities at DPPL. April is National Poetry Month.

In addition, acclaimed children's author and poet Janet S. Wong will read from her best-selling books on the library's 2nd floor. Other activities for children and families include do-it-yourself poetry fun, readings by Central School young poets, Poetry Face Painting, Poetry Bingo and much more.
