Why perpetuate right-wing myths?

Why do the GOP and right-wing media persist in parroting fictions that have been discredited time and time again? The best example is that government deregulation and tax cuts benefiting the very rich help grow the economy and create jobs.

They apparently think nothing of undermining the lives and welfare of Americans and mortgaging this nation’s future in order to grow the wealth and power of their rich and powerful constituents.
