Cary launches new website
The village of Cary has launched a new website, and residents can now sign up for email and text message alerts and even be notified when the village advertises new bids for projects.
“Our old website frankly was archaic,” Village President Tom Kierna said. “It’s been in need of a fresh look and update for years, and it was just a matter of getting some money set aside to undertake the project.”
In September, the village approved a three-year contract with website developer CivicPlus at a cost not to exceed $28,068, including hosting the website, doing any upgrades and providing support and maintenance services.
The new website has plenty of photos and several new features, including the ability to search for information. “The new website will provide real-time information for Cary residents, improve communication with elected officials and staff, and increase the village’s commitment to being a transparent organization,” Village Administrator Chris Clark said in a news release.
Kierna credited the work of a team comprising members of all village departments plus trustees Rick Dudek and Karen Lukasik. The website is at caryillinois.com.
