Brain tumor walk

The 14th annual Vernon Hills Brain Tumor Walk will be Saturday, May 12 at Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway, just north of Route 60 in Vernon Hills. All net proceeds from the event benefit the American Brain Tumor Association. Check-in and registration will open at 8:30 a.m., with the 2-mile walk beginning at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. This event is held to remember those who have lost their battles with brain tumors and honoring those who are currently fighting them.
