Vernon Hills 16, Lake Forest Academy 3: Billy Hoffman scored 6 goals for the Cougars, Tyler Peterson added three, and Zach Berman had 7 assists.

Vernon Hills also got 2 goals from Joey Faia and one apiece from Tyler Wood, Wayne Didier, Phillip Brown, Jeremy Levy and Jason Jurardo. Didier and Peterson chipped in 2 assists apiece. Wood and Tyler Amaide assisted on goals as well.

Cougars goalie Cody Christie had 11 saves.
