Island Lake to celebrate Arbor Day:

Island Lake officials invite residents to commemorate Arbor Day at Veterans Park on April 28. A tree planting event is planned for 10 a.m., with trees donated by Pine View Nursery in Woodstock and TTC Landscaping in Island Lake. A seedling giveaway, a performance by Creative Playtime Preschool students and other activities are planned.
