U-46 School News for the Week of March 16
Bartlett High School
On Wednesday evening, there will be a “soft” opening of “Ragtime” for high school students with open seating only. Students will be admitted for $5.
Thursday through Saturday, the musical “Ragtime” will be presented in the school auditorium at 7p.m. On Sunday, April 22, there will also be a matinee at 2 p.m. Admission is $12 per adult and $6 per student. Please call 630-837-8817 for tickets.
Larkin High School
On Friday and Saturday, the play “My Son, Pinocchio: Gepeto's Musical Tale” will be presented at 7 p.m. There will also be a 9:30 a.m. matinee on Thursday, April 19. Admission is $6 per student and $8 per adult.
Also on Friday from 4:30-7:00 p.m., the Larkin Booster Club will sponsor the 7th annual Drive-Through BBQ featuring Fay's Pork Chop Bar-B-Que. You may choose pork chops, chicken or a combo which includes baked beans, cole slaw, applesauce, roll & butter for only $12. All dinners are pre-order only. For tickets, call 847-888-5200. Larkin Boosters support athletics, academics, open houses, teacher wish list, homecoming, prom and post prom. Proceeds go to the general fund and could benefit one or more of these areas.
South Elgin High School
On Friday, a Coffee House Cabaret for staff and students will be held in the school auditorium lobby at 7 p.m.
Streamwood High School
On Wednesday, a Blood Drive will be held in the west gym from 7:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. the public is welcome to donate. For further information, please call 630-213-5500, ext. 4989.
Larsen Middle School
On Wednesday, dine at Wendy's on Dundee Ave. in Elgin and a percentage of the sales will be given back to the school.
Hawk Hollow Elementary
On Thursday morning, 6th grade students will visit Eastview Middle School.
Hilltop Elementary
On Tuesday, a Spring Sing will be performed at the school. 1st graders will perform at 6:00 p.m. and 2nd graders will perform at 6:45 p.m.
Spring Trail Elementary
On Friday, the 16th annual Tiger Fest Fun Fair will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the school.
