Free health screenings in Lake County

Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s mobile health unit, Community Care Connection, has scheduled stops at both Lake County Family YMCA branches in May. Blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes and cholesterol screenings plus BMI (body mass index) and waist measurements will be available free to persons of all ages. Also, those with questions about healthy eating can get answers from a registered nurse. The mobile unit will be at Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, and at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, during the same hours on Monday, May 14.
