Mt. Prospect police: ‘Suspicious’ man was taking pictures of children

Mount Prospect police said Friday they’re looking for a man who was taking pictures of children waiting for their school bus this week.
Police have identified the man as a “suspicious person” after he was seen just after 7 a.m. Wednesday taking photos from his car in the direction of children waiting at the corner of Elmhurst Avenue and Highland Street.
Police said he was using a large professional camera with a telescopic lens.
The man is described as white, about 45 years old, with dark hair and a round and “chunky” face, according to police.
He was driving a black Pontiac Aztec SUV with a gray skirt around the bottom.
Police have advised those who may recognize the vehicle or driver to call 911.
