Prospect students and staff raise money for local charities
Prospect High School raised nearly $800 during a “Big Knight” event March 16 to benefit two local charities.
The J. Kyle Braid Leadership Committee hosted the charitable event, which assisted the J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation and OMNI Youth Services of Buffalo Grove. Sponsored by the Goodman Foundation, the event featured more than 80 teams of Prospect students and staff played badminton, basketball and dodgeball.
The JKB Leadership Foundation provides teens with a one-of-a-kind leadership education that promotes responsible decision-making, increased self-esteem, and resistance to negative peer pressure. OMNI Youth Services provides drug counseling and prevention services to area high school students.
