Duckworth has no plan for economy

As a nonveteran, I honor those who put themselves in harm’s way. I was too young for World War II. Tammy Duckworth is a veteran whom I also honor. However, when I asked her in a letter to give me the names of 20 of the nearly 100 companies at which she’d been able to get veterans jobs, I did not receive a reply — not even an acknowledgment that she received my request. So much for being responsive and listening to constituents.

Yes, Duckworth is good at veterans benefits, but she will not ever be a good congresswoman if she ignores honest requests for information she should have at her fingertips. According to her Q&A facts in the March 25 Daily Herald, she plans to listen to constituents. I am still waiting, Ms. Duckworth, for you to listen to me. I do not believe you, nor will others.

Jobs are coming back to the U.S. because Chinese workers are learning the American way of success: Hard work earns good pay. You state that you do not agree with all of President Obama’s failed plans for the economy. In fact, you use general terms as if you will interpret the needs of Medicare in light of the economy. That is no plan of substance. Come on, get real — you have no plan!

According to your responses to questions, you are expecting residents to give you a plan, since you apparently have no plan but merely wish to be elected. Sorry, that does not cut it. Joe Walsh does have plans that have been working, and he will offer more plans and share them in debates with you. Do you have the “fight” in you to debate someone with a plan of action?
