Metro West Council to discuss state of Kane, Kendall, DeKalb counties

The Metro West Council of Government will host its annual “State of the Counties Luncheon” on Thursday, April 12, at Best Western Timber Creek Inn in Sandwich.
Metro West Council of Government is a nonprofit organization that represents municipalities in Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties. Metro West fosters regional cooperation to address regional issues and provides a united voice for municipalities.
The “State of the Counties Luncheon” will start at 11:30 a.m. It will feature Kane County Board Chairman Karen McConnaughay, Kendall County Board Chairman John Purcell, and Ruth Anne Tobias, vice chairman of DeKalb County Board. Each of the speakers will give an overview of the state of their county — its accomplishments and its challenges. There will be time for questions from the audience.
