Arlington Hts. Spring Sweep Recycling Day April 28

Spring Sweep Recycling Day will be held from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 28 at Nokia Siemens Systems, 1475 W. Shure Drive, Arlington Heights.

The event, sponsored by the Arlington Heights Special Events Commission, includes: paper shredding (up to four banker's boxes full per vehicle), and the recycling of bicycles, manual wheelchairs, metal canes, foldable walkers, gently used shoes, gym shoes, animal shelter needs, eye glasses, flags, used school supplies and books.

NO electronics, chemicals, paints or batteries will be recycled.

Paper shredding will also be occurring at Village Bank, 150 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will also include an Information Station where residents can get information on the emerald ash borer, information about programs with Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County, etc.
