Booth Tarkington School celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday
Former Tarkington parent and author, Ann Wagner, shared her book “Recycling with Arnie and Bing.” Her book explains the recycling process through the story of Arnie, a pickle jar, and Bing, a lemonade can.
The Buffalo Grove Theater donated Lorax movie tickets to a lucky winner as well as Lorax-themed posters and party supplies. AMC Theatres at Randhurst also donated movie tickets.
Other students won Dr. Seuss books. Many students participated in a Book Swap where students brought in gently used books to swap for other students’ gently used books — how green!
Students read with their parents and viewed e-books through Tumblebooks as well at this fun event!
