Make English the official language

The fact that this was a federal mandate did not diminish the outrage I felt when I went to vote and received a bilingual ballot. As far as I am concerned, if you don’t understand English you have not earned the right to vote in a U.S. election. Additionally, I thought that to become a naturalized citizen you had to understand English. So why is our tax money being wasted to cater to a group of people whose citizenship is questionable?

The answer is obvious. The left knows that a vote by a person who may be illegal or does not understand English will probably be a Democratic vote. This is nothing more than political pandering at our expense.

I mentioned in a previous letter that you have never seen cheating like you are going to see in this presidential election. It has already started with the White House fighting the voter I.D. requirement, uncontrolled motor voting and mail-in voting, questionable redistricting and, of course, bilingual ballots.

Let’s start a movement to get our representatives in Washington to make English our official language. This may help reduce some of the expenses incurred because of bilingual catering and political cheating.

It is wonderful to try to help people but if you must sacrifice your principles and compromise your American heritage to do so, I say the line has been drawn.
