Food Panty Fridays benefits community

There was something special that went on at Wheaton North High School every Friday in March. It was called Food Pantry Fridays. The entire school pulled together to collect food for the Milton Township Food Pantry.

Over the last few years, more than 13,000 pounds were collected. The food goes directly toward helping families right in the Wheaton North neighborhoods.

Hunger is an issue for many families in all of DuPage County. Families are struggling to put food on their tables, and the food pantries are struggling to keep food on their shelves.

I want to thank all the students, teachers and staff at Wheaton North who have supported Food Pantry Fridays in past years and those who supported it again this year.
