Thank you, Raja, for trying

Thank you, Mr. Raja Krishnamoorthi, for all your hard work and for conducting a classy campaign. I appreciate your effort to try to get elected as the 8th Congressional District’s Democratic nominee — work which started several years ago and with you or your team campaigning door to door.

We certainly could use a businessman’s perspective in Congress. I was disappointed that Ms. Tammy Duckworth left her job with the VA and entered the campaigned late, backed by the Democratic machine. She has a high public profile and a compelling personal story, but it will take a lot more than that to beat the bombastic Joe Walsh. I certainly will support her 100 percent as the Democratic candidate, but let’s hope Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and others will work closely with her on her platform. Joe has got to go.
