Left can’t think clearly
How I wish I could believe that the leftist/liberal/progressive folks could think clearly, not to mention fairly. Take the one who said in his March 10 Fence Post letter, “The budget’s in the red, so let’s tax religion. And since the Catholic Church has abandoned the IRS rules about political activity for tax-exempt organizations, we should start there.”
No mention is made of V.P. candidate, and then-incumbent V.P. Al Gore’s active campaigning in minority churches, perhaps even speaking during scheduled services, no less. These churches, to the best of my knowledge, were not Catholic.
So what gives? I know that’s a rhetorical question for those who can still think critically, but if the left were capable of that, I don’t think we’d have seen this letter show up in the Herald … or, at least it wouldn’t have been worded so one-sidedly.
And to think these people can vote.
