Immanuel’s cheer squad from Palatine takes third at competition
The cheerleaders of Immanuel Lutheran School, in Palatine, had an exciting weekend as the squad competed in the 2012 Lutheran Sports Association (LSA) State Cheerleading Competition on March 2. The hard working, talented squad received the third-place trophy.
The cheerleaders are coached by Donna Cook and assistant coach Courtney Vogeler. Donna Cook has been coaching the Immanuel Bobcat Cheerleaders for an impressive 15 years.
The Cheer squad took first place Jan. 8, at the Lake Zurich Invitational in the Jr. High division. They also traveled to Peoria in February to compete in the Christ Peoria Cheer Competition, where they took third place.
