Montini defeats Peoria Central

Jessica Stahelin was 2-for-3 and drove in 3 runs, and Montini (1-5) beat Peoria Central 12-1 in five innings for its first win of the season.

Benet 18, Glenbard East 0:

Kendall Duffy was 3-for-4 with a homer, double, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI for the No. 5 Redwings (5-0). Julianne Rurka and Emily York also homered for Benet and Maeve McGuire had 3 doubles.

Oak Park 4-0, WW South 3-6:

Cameron Briggs was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in the second game for the visiting Tigers (3-3).

Downers Grove North 2, Homewood-Flossmoor 0:

Dale Ryndak (2-0) threw four innings, combining on a two-hitter with Elaine Heflin for the No. 9 Trojans in Downers Grove. Heflin struck out seven in relief for Downers Grove North (4-0), which hasn’t allowed an earned run in four games. The Trojans scored both their runs in the first inning, Ali Woitovich doubling in a run and scoring on Ryndak’s RBI single.
