Wheaton North 6, Larkin 0: Larkin’s struggles to score continued with this nonconference loss Wednesday. Losing pitcher Kiernan Schock was 3-for-4 with a double, Lexi Smithberg went 2-for-3 and Alex Buhrow was 2-for-4 with a double for the Royals (1-4).
DeKalb 2, Huntley 0: DeKalb’s Katie Kowalski and Huntley’s Ashley Laxner allowed just 3 hits each but the Red Raiders couldn’t push any runs across the plate in this nonconference loss. Randi Peterson was 2-for-3 for Huntley (0-3).
