Herald ignores pro-gun lobby yet again

And so, once again, the Daily Herald decided not to inform its readers of the actions of the pro-gun movement in Illinois. The recent the annual IGOLD march (Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day), organized by the Illinois State Rifle Association, drew thousands of people to our state Capitol in support of our 2nd Amendment rights.

These supporters visited their legislators to convey their concerns over Rahm Emanuel’s push for statewide gun legislation, and to encourage them to understand that concealed carry is a right 49 other states allow their residents.

You would think such an outpouring would have drawn the attention of this newspaper, even if only in one small paragraph or notation. But whether out of fear of backlash from the anti-gun movement, or just plain bias, the Daily Herald used its 1st Amendment rights to ignore our 2nd Amendment rights. Shame on you.
