Two injured in Vernon Hills motorcycle crash
Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Monday night in a Vernon Hills neighborhood.
The two were riding on a motorcycle near the intersection of Greenleaf Drive and Wadsworth Place when the accident occurred, according to fire officials.
The motorcycle left the roadway in the neighborhood northeast of Route 60 and Butterfield Road, hit some bushes and crashed into a fence at about 7:53 p.m., said Countryside Fire Protection Battalion Chief Brian Garrity.
Both victims were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Garrity said.
Vernon Hills police are investigating the crash but could not be reached for comment Monday night.
Officials said the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
