Aptakisic variety show benefits suicide prevention

Aptakisic Junior High School is presenting a variety show at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, to benefit a group dedicated to educating and preventing suicide among at-risk teens. Donations will be collected at the door to the large gym at the school, 1231 Weiland Road, Buffalo Grove, for Elyssa’s Mission, a not-for-profit organization proactive in educating, funding, distributing, and implementing SOS Signs of Suicide program and the Everybody Matters program, as well as other prevention programs that are evidence based and backed by health professionals. More than 30 local area junior high and high schools actively participate in Elyssa’s Mission’s prevention program
