Mathews has compassion, skill

Until now, I have never been compelled to comment on anything online or have written a letter to an editor. There was also a time when I never thought something could happen that would unfortunately put me in the office of Mr. Reginald Mathews, who is an Assistant State’s Attorney.

That was a dark time, filled with emotions, uncertainty and stress for me and my family. I will not go into any details, but I am here to say this man’s genuine concern and quest for justice went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. It was not treated like just another case file to throw on a stack of case files.

I can honestly say I trust this man with my life, as well as my family’s. If you know Reggie Mathews, you know he walks the talk on being kind, giving, compassionate and just. You also know that when it comes to dealing with criminals, there is nothing about him that wavers or concedes when it comes to seeking justice for the victims.

If this sounds like a political endorsement that’s because it is. As with this post, and that case, this is also a first. I am not a large corporation, or some other medium you usually wait to hear from before choosing a candidate. I am not even really politically motivated. I am one person who found a reason to voice her opinion on something that really matters to me.

I am one person who will do everything she can to see that Lake County gets the State Attorney it deserves. I choose Reginald Mathews,
