Bears raise prices on most tickets

For most Bears fans, the cost of going to a game at Soldier Field is going up next season.

Only season ticket holders with the more expensive club seats can relax — they won't be paying more for the 2012 season.

But non-club ticket holders, which account for approximately 85 percent of Soldier Field's seating, will be paying more next season, team officials announced Tuesday.

The Bears are raising non-club tickets from $2 to $10 per ticket, meaning the overall price will range from $76 to $150 per ticket next season. Club seat ticket prices, which will not change, range from $265 to $530.

Invoices have been sent, and season ticket holders will have until April 9 to make their payment to the team. This year's schedule includes home games with Carolina, Houston, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Seattle as well as the team's NFC North rivals, Green Bay, Minnesota and Detroit, and two preseason games. A final schedule with dates and tentative times is expected in April.

Bears officials say the pricing marks the third time in the last four years the team has not raised prices in at least one category of seating. Individual game prices for non-club seats will cost fans an additional $25 per game, which translates to a $250 savings for season ticket holders.
