Go bald, help fight cancer:

Participants from Lake and McHenry counties will take it all off for cancer research, so to speak, by having their heads shaved from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s bingo hall. The St. Baldrick’s fundraiser will feature head shaving, music, 50/50 raffle, cash bar and food. A donation of $10 per person will be collected at the door and include admission and entertainment. Food, beer and other mixed drinks will be available for purchase. The event is open to any age. Last year, nearly $20,000 was collected from the fundraiser that targeted Lake and McHenry counties. About 70 heads were shaved for the cause. For information, contact co-chair Gregory Koeppen, at stbaldricks@ymail.com or (847) 231-4577. St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises money for childhood cancer research.
