Bartlett High School
On Thursday, choral students will present a Choral Concert in the school auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is $1 per student, $2 per adult or $6 per family.
Elgin High School
On Thursday, orchestra students will present their Winter Orchestra Concert at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. Admission is $1 per student, $2 per adult or $6 per family.
Larkin High School
On Thursday, band students will perform a concert in the school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $1 per student, $2 per adult or $6 per family.
Larkin High School, Abbott & Kimball Middle Schools
On Tuesday, all three schools will combine to perform an Orchestra Concert at 7 p.m. in the Larkin High School auditorium. Admission is $1 per student, $2 per adult or $6 per family.
South Elgin High School
Thursday through Saturday, the drama department will present “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. The play begins at 7 p.m. each night in the school auditorium, located at 760 E. Main St. in South Elgin. There will also be an afternoon performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Adult tickets are $10, student tickets are $8. For tickets, please call 847-289-3760, ext. 3486. Tickets will also be available in the auditorium lobby one hour prior to curtain.
Streamwood High School
On Friday at 7 p.m., the Booster Club fundraiser will take place at Bowlway Lanes on Villa St. in Elgin. Tickets are $25 per person for bowling and dinner; $10 per person for dinner only. For further information, please call the athletic office at 630-213-5500, ext. 4999.
Abbott Middle School
On Friday, the AVID class will be visiting Elgin Community College (ECC).
Canton Middle School
On Thursday, the middle school band students will combine with the feeder elementary school band students to present a Band Concert at Canton at 6:30 p.m. Feeder schools include: Glenbrook, Hanover Countryside, Hilltop, Oakhill, and Ridge Circle.
Larsen Middle School
On Wednesday, the Concert Band will combine with the Cadet and Beginner Band to present a concert in the school auditorium at 7 p.m.
Laurel Hill Elementary
On Thursday from 3-7 p.m., when Laurel Hill families dine at Chuck E. Cheese, part of the proceeds will go back to the school. The restaurant is located on Barrington Rd. in Streamwood. The event is sponsored by the Laurel Hill parent/teacher group (PTLH).
On Fridays, the “Moms and Tots” drop-in play group will meet in the gym from 8:00-9:30 a.m.
Lincoln Elementary
On Friday, a Father/Son Game Night will be held in the gym.
Lowrie Elementary
Beginning Monday and continuing through Thursday, a Book Fair will be open daily for students during school hours. On Thursday, the fair will be open until 5:30 p.m. for families.
Ridge Circle Elementary
On Friday, students will celebrate “Read Across America” with 2 assemblies where the students will listen to the principal and community guests read the book “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss.
Sunnydale Elementary
On Friday from 4:00-7:30 p.m., the school will host a Formal Wear Sale. Brand new dresses will sell for $20-$35 and slightly used dresses for $10-$15. The dresses are various sizes, styles and lengths. This is just in time for Prom, Quinceañera and bridesmaid dresses.
