Crespo, partners launch women’s history poster contest

State Representative Fred Crespo, a Democrat from Hoffman Estates, is partnering with Women in Need Growing Stronger (WINGS) and the Streamwood Woman’s Club to host the 2012 Women’s History Poster Contest.

The contest is open to all ages and entries should be created around this year’s theme, “Women’s Education — Women’s Empowerment,” and what it means to them. Posters must be submitted to Crespo’s office at 1014 E. Schaumburg Road in Streamwood by 6 p.m. Monday, March 19.

Members from WINGS, the Streamwood Woman’s Club and Crespo’s Women’s Advisory Committee will select five posters to be displayed in the state Capitol. For more information, call (630) 372-3340.
