Barrington H.S. presents ‘Hello, Dolly!’

Barrington High School’s Fine Arts Department will present the musical “Hello, Dolly!” March 1-4 at the school, 310 E. St. James St., Barrington. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 2:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

“Hello Dolly” is a romantic comedy musical originally starring Carol Channing. The Broadway production follows the story of Dolly Levi, a strong-willed matchmaker who travels to Yonkers to find a match for the miserly “well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire,” Horace Vandergelder.

The BHS production staff includes: Julie Salk, producer, co-director, choreographer; Nanci Tobison, co-director and vocal director; Bonnie Spurling, assistant vocal director; Ellen Werksman, associate choreographer; Randy Karon, conductor; Amy Jessup, technical director; Sharon Schmidt, costumer; Jason D. Burke and Jason Kaiser, set design and master carpenters and Brian Mathien, graphic design.

Tickets are $12; $8 for students/children and $5 seniors. The box office will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 27-March 2 and one hour before each performance. All seats reserved. Tickets also available at barringtonfinearts.com. (847) 842-6500.
