Farewell, and thanks for all the memories

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the great customers of Barnaby’s Schaumburg. We’ve had a loyal following for the past 43 years, customers who’ve celebrated birthdays, showers, anniversaries, family parties, date nights, children’s sports gathering’s and even funeral memorials.

We’ve been fortunate to have been surrounded by a great staff, fellow managers — Bernardo, Jimmy and Mario — and a long list of part time employees who’ve gone on to careers as teachers, doctors, lawyers, policemen, firemen, business operators and even an Air Force pilot.

We’ve also been supported by our local village employees, police, fire departments and most notably our health department which supported us through guidance and education to make sure we provided a clean and safe environment for our customers.

My personal thanks to Tom and Julie, who’ve been owners since 1980. And finally to my wonderful wife and four children who’ve given up evenings, weekend s and holidays while I pursued a career that I truly cherished.

I know that whenever I think of pizza I will always remember Barnaby’s of Schaumburg.
