Catholic clergy back liberal programs

As a lifelong Catholic, I have been appalled as, year after year, administration after administration, our church leaders have supported and applauded one liberal government social program after another, nearly all of which are social disasters.

Long before Obamacare was passed, anyone with a modicum of intelligence knew “women’s health issues” would be included. And we all know “women’s health issues” mean coverage for birth control, sterilization and abortion. Yet, our church leaders enthusiastically backed Obamacare.

If the president will not compromise on women’s health issues, the church leaders say they will have to discontinue providing employee health care and pay millions of dollars in fines. That is exactly what President Obama wants; he has long ago stated his goal of eliminating private health insurance coverage and forcing everybody in a single-payer plan.
