Parenting advice in Vernon Hills:
David J. Ventrelle, a licensed clinical psychologist, will offer advice on responding to young children’s disruptive behaviors such as temper tantrums and outbursts during a free presentation titled “Managing the Meltdown”. It is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. This is the second in a series of free community programs for those with children in their lives — such as parents, grandparents and teachers — offered jointly by Lake County Family YMCA and Rosalind Franklin University Health System (RFUHS). These programs are free and open to the public, but advance registration is required to attend. Register by calling the Central Lake Y at (847) 367-6797 or stopping by the Welcome Center there.
