New Townline principal:

Hawthorn Townline Elementary School will welcome Victoria Kieffer as new principal beginning this fall, replacing current principal Karen Cencula who is retiring. Kieffer comes to Hawthorn District 73 from Woodland District 50 in Gurnee, where she has been assistant principal of Woodland Elementary East School since 2006. Before that, she served as curriculum supervisor for Woodland and also as a classroom teacher at Twin Groves Middle School and Wauconda Middle School. Kieffer will be at Townline, 810 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills, for family night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 24.
